Our Projects

How it works?

Rental Agreement

1. No membership, no rental. All renters are required to be a G FILM Member via the online membership application. Don’t worry, it’s quick, easy and FREE! All you have to do is press the BE A MEMBER button, fill out the form, and wait for the verification process to certify you as a member! We do conduct crosschecking on all applications so please be diligent and honest when answering the form. Entries with incomplete details are subject to disqualification. We are entitled to refuse any applicant should our verification and crosschecking turn up questionable findings.

2. For security purposes, all renters must submit 2 forms of valid identification. Government, Company or School IDs will do. These may be uploaded along with the filled up online membership form, or emailed to gfilmrental@gmail.com.

3. An in-house assistant or caretaker is required to accompany ALL rentals. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Rentals that meet the minimum order are provided assistants for FREE. Rentals below the minimum order will be billed an additional Php500, which will cover the assistant’s work for 12 hours. After that, an overtime fee of Php50 per hour in excess will be billed to the renter.

Transportation fees may be added depending on the location/s where the equipment will be used. Out of town arrangements are processed on a case to case basis, depending on the distance and amount of orders. Feel free to call or message us for inquiries.

The assistant is responsible for delivery, set up, set down, and return of the equipment. The assistant will also oversee all equipment handling, but is in no way required to handle all of the equipment exclusively.

Caretakers are not expected to provide creative input. However, some are capable of providing these services. Should these services be desired, an appropriate talent fee to be agreed upon by the caretaker and the renter will be added.

4. Damage to the equipment incurred by the assistant will NOT be billed to the renter.

Damage to the equipment incurred by persons other than the assistant will be billed to the renter in accordance to the extent of the damage.

5. Transportation fees may be added for long distances or for multiple location changes. If the equipment must be transferred to a new location, the renter is expected to provide transportation or a monetary amount equivalent to the required commuter fare.

6. Additional equipment and services will be charged accordingly.

7. Item availability is subject to change. Ideal reservation is a month in advance. If two or more renters place a reservation on a single equipment for the same day, a 50% non-refundable down payment must be made to secure the reservation. If no down payment is made, the reservation is subject to cancellation.

FAQs

1. How do I rent equipment?

Just follow these easy steps:

First you have to be a G FILM Member. Don’t worry, it’s FREE! Just click on the BE A MEMBER button and fill up the form. Make sure to fill up ALL the details in the form because we will be conducting background checks and verification. Forms with incomplete details will be automatically disqualified.

Next, you need to submit 2 valid identifications (Government ID, Company ID, or School ID).

And once you are verified as a member, you can now reserve the equipment that you want to rent!

2. Once I rent equipment, do I pick up and return the equipment on my own? Can I use the equipment by myself?

No, we ALWAYS require an in-house assistant/caretaker to accompany (including delivery and return) any equipment rented. Don’t fret though, our experience has taught us that it really helps in these aspects:

a. It ensures the safety of the equipment. b. You get an extra personnel that can handle the equipment expertly, boosting your own work efficiently. c. You get to save time in equipment handling.

3. What does the assistant/caretaker do?

a. They handle the equipment, from delivery to set up and movement, all the way to the equipment return. b. They are in charge of the safety and security of the equipment; c. They are not required to handle the equipment exclusively (especially the cameras). Having said that, any damage incurred to the equipment at the hands of people other than the assistant will be billed to the renter in accordance to the extent of the damage. d. Some can also be asked to assist in creative aspects (in shooting, sounds, and lighting) however, we would like to clarify that these services are not included in the assistant’s base salary. That being said, you always have the option of requesting these services for an additional fee that you and the assistant can agree on.

4. Does the assistant come with an additional cost?

a. If your total rental fee does not meet the minimum order, an additional Php500 will be required as the assistant’s rate for a maximum of 12 hours. Should you exceed that time, an additional Php50 will be billed every succeeding hour. Please be reminded that the assistant’s work begins from the time of his arrival at the set/meeting place, which includes the call-time up to the actual shoot. Having an extra early call-time may eat up your assistant’s allotted hours needlessly. b. Equipment delivery fee depending on the distance of the delivery. c. Transportation fee depending on the distance of the location, especially for out of town shoots and shoots with multiple locations.

Other than that, all we ask is that you treat the assistant assigned to you with professionalism and dignity. They are there to help. Try to keep them on-set as much as possible. Also, providing them food along with the crew helps out a lot since it keeps them alert, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.

5. How long can we rent the equipment?

a. We work on a daily rental rate. Once you pay the flat rental fee, you can use the equipment for the entire day up until 4AM the following day. However, the assistant can only go for 12 hours at a time. b. Please be prompt with your returns. Other people may need to rent out the equipment too. c. Should you fail to return the equipment by 5AM the following day, we will charge you the full amount for another day of rental.

6. Do you accept reservations?

Most certainly! You can reserve equipment as early as a month in advance. You can also reserve equipment 1 day before the shoot date. However, the availability of equipment varies and we can’t assure you that the equipment you require will be on-hand for last minute reservations and rentals.

7. Is there a reservation fee?

No, it’s FREE. However, in cases when two or more clients want to book the same equipment for the same day and only one is available, the client who is willing to put up a 50% non-refundable down payment will be prioritized.

8. When do we settle payment? Payment, including all extra fees for overtime and/or transportation, is expected on the day of the rental once equipment is returned.

9. Do you rent out equipment for out of town shoots? Absolutely! However, we may have to charge extra for extended travel distance. We also take the extra travel time into consideration when discussing rates, but this again, will depend on the distance of the location. Our online and hotline assistants will gladly inform you of these adjustments and considerations once you give them the details of the shoot.

10. Will I be charged if the equipment gets broken?

The assistant is in charge of equipment safety and handling. If the damage to the equipment is due to the assistant’s mishandling, the renter will NOT be billed. However, should persons outside the assistant incur damage to the equipment, the renter will be billed depending on the extent of the damage.
